Sue began a residency in RUA RED in 2009 to write fiction and is currently working on a biographical novel, working title Acquittances 123.
Born in Cork in 1956 and living in Clondalkin, Dublin her family background is a mixture of Irish, English and Mediterranean. Sue grew up in Strawberry Hill in Cork city and spent summers in Loughine, in West Cork, where her grandfather had established a marine biology research station.
She studied Philosophy and Psychology in UCC and worked in the community and voluntary sector for over twenty years, most recently with TSA Consultancy - Third Sector Advisors in social enterprise development and social research.
