Digital Traces – A Glitch Seminar comprises of four presentations in response to digital artworks which are interactive, divisive and political, and at their core leaving a significant residue. Past and present participants of Dublin’s NCAD Art in the Contemporary World and IADT’s Art & Research Collaboration masters programmes will open a discussion around artistic practices which directly engage with digital technology.
Featuring: Hugh McCabe’s “Ghosts In The Machines: Digital Archaeologies and Viral Art” , Bernie Masterson’s “Bold Writing” – A Video & Presentation analysing the act of writing as leaving a resonating footprint, Theo Honohan’s “Product & Sum: Putting processes together; composition in digital art” and a presentation from Pierre Jolivet on “Intermedia Art & Self-Generative Processes.”
