Following the success of the Trad Óg (2006 – 2007) and Trad San Ospidéal (2008) Alternative Entertainments and The Adelaide & Meath Hospitals, incorporating The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght present Ceol & Sláinte.

Patients and staff attest that listening to live music helps them to relax, feel happier and more positive. Through Ceol & Sláinte we will bring traditional music to the hospital and explore new opportunities and venues within the hospital environment.

The Ceol & Sláinte schedule begins with a launch concert – The Tallaght Tradition. The concert will celebrate the strong history of traditional music in the Tallaght area and will feature performances from a host of accomplished, well known Tallaght musicians. Among those performing will be Paul Kelly, Alan Doherty, Tony Byrne, Gavin Whelan, Tom Moran and many more.

Alternative Entertainments and The Adelaide & Meath Hospitals acknowledge the financial support of the Arts Council and South Dublin County Council in making this project possible.
